Dachser & Kolb

We moved within Munich. D&K commissioned a subcontractor in Forchheim, 200 km away. A USM fitter was agreed to dismantle and reassemble a sideboard. I had already dismantled the sideboard 1 week before and wanted to cancel the service. Apparently it could only be canceled 14 days before the move - i.e. not. When I asked the subcontractor to do the reassembly, he didn't have the special tools with him because D&K didn't commission USM assembly. The D&K coordinator still demands the full price - 175 EUR - for the service that was not even partially provided. During the inspection, I explained in detail to the estimator that a 3-part cabinet should be dismantled and reassembled as a 2-part unit. However, the subcontractor's fitter did not have the necessary tools with him, so he was only able to reassemble the body of the wall unit, but not the sliding doors. D&K thinks that's our problem. We should hire a carpenter. During the last move, which was also commissioned by D&K in 2020, the same wall unit was converted from 4-part to 3-part without any problems. Things got even worse. A 2 square meter mirror on a cupboard door was broken. A designer cupboard with horizontal roller shutter doors was completely broken (total loss), and a second was seriously damaged. New price: EUR 5,900 per cabinet. In addition, there are deep scratches in the parquet of the old apartment due to careless sanding of heavy furniture. 3 bicycles that were also ordered to be transported were left behind because the truck was too small. After a 17-hour working day [2.5 hours each traveling to and from Forchheim + 12 hours for the move], the eight-person moving team apologized for the fiasco they had caused. Now the battle begins with D&K damage management.

The Dachser & Kolb team was able to carry out our move perfectly without any problems. They were also able to deal professionally with larger volumes and had a solution immediately.

You can see that the team has an idea of ​​what it's doing.

The appearance alone was so terrific that I don't want to equate any other moving company with Dachser & Kolb.

We sent a small load of furniture from Baden-Baden, Germany to Hartford, CT, USA for a price of over Euro 6000. The move went fine, with the expected small issues regarding timing, communications and furniture condition. No complaints overall.

However, to our surprise, an almost 15% surcharge was invoiced weeks after the move was completed. The move took about 9+ weeks, while the surcharge came an additional 6 weeks later. It included a new 15% pre-payment fee and another Euro 50 administrative fee although the entire initial invoice was prepaid weeks before the move was initiated and completed. This type of billing does not instill a lot of confidence in the accounting practices of Dachser & Kolb.

We moved from Neu-Isenburg to Switzerland with a two-month interim storage of our household items. We had obtained several offers for this. Dachser & kolb made the best offer by far and everything (including the customs formalities!) Went wonderfully as agreed.



The four gentlemen were also very flexible with requests for changes or problems and had many good suggestions.



So, highly recommended, it's almost fun moving.

I had about 70 CBM. These were loaded super quickly by the team. Within two days, the team had already loaded and dismantled everything. It was unbelievable how fast and coordinated the team is. The discharge went even faster. There was no damage and otherwise the team was in top form and also polite.

I will recommend this company to my friends and will use them for my next move.

A really professional moving company. Our move was managed by Peter, Richard and colleagues to our complete satisfaction. All pieces of furniture were loaded and rebuilt by the two with the utmost consideration for floors and walls without damage. All pieces of furniture were carefully wrapped in several layers of ceilings and foil. We were also particularly surprised by the cleanliness, because after each drilling and sawing for kitchen and lamps, the workplace was immediately vacuumed or swept. Despite the stress, everyone had a friendly atmosphere during the move. The kitchen was also rebuilt super quickly and thoroughly by Mohamed, so we can really only recommend this company!

Dachser & Kolb is simply great. We moved within Bavaria, under time pressure, found an apartment quickly, signed the rental agreement and were able to move in within 4 weeks. Dachser & Kolb has achieved this. From the first contact, to a video inspection of the old apartment, which furniture needs to be prepared and how much volume in total. Loading list, appointment, everything went smoothly and smoothly. Every employee there has their own area of responsibility and therefore competence in the entire process. All employees very nice. Dachser & Kolb guided us through the move smoothly. We are thrilled and can't thank the company enough.

Unfortunately, I had less than pleasant experiences with Dachser & Kolb as a moving company. Three days booked and paid for, the subcontractor communicated on the first day that "he" would only come for two days. That's how it was, I'm still standing in my boxes, not on hanging lamps, wardrobes etc., ... D& K = customer friendliness, little to no existent..."the customer is to blame", there is no assumption of responsibility on the part of D&K. Make money with generous prices and cheap subcontractors to the detriment of the "abandoned" customers. Absolutely not recommended, beware of rip-offs!
